happy honeydews...

our pregnancy "ticker" hit the 35 week mark today.  so...incredibly... excited.

in the beginning of our journey, i had no clue what to expect.  honestly, i expected everything to be a lot "worse" than it has.  i thought, double the babies, double the bad (examples: two times the morning sickness, two times the pain, two times the weight gain, etc).  it's so incredible to have gotten this far with these little ones and to see that those worries were never in the cards for these babies and their mommy.

until last week, everything had gone like clockwork.  after a week, though, of doing absolutely nothing, the boredom paid off because those little ones stayed in hibernation mode like the perfect little baby bears that they are! this time last week, i was unsure if they were going to make it in utero until their next scheduled appointment.  i'm proud to say that they followed directions and did!

they looked wonderful during their ultrasounds yesterday.  both were breathing away.  both had heartbeat changes that fluctuated when needed.  both had grown some.  both were, well, just wonderful sights to see.

my report went equally as well.  and...i'm free to go and do as long as i take it easy.  lunch dates, here i come.  my poor car that has sat in its spot for a week...get ready to ride.  church...you will absolutely see me on sunday saying "thank you" good lord above!  don't worry, i still won't sing very loud, but i will be present.  now, will i still be taking it incredibly easy?  yes!  will i still be hanging around the parsley compound most of the time? yes!  i'm fully committed to taking it easy AND enjoying the days i have left without the twins with friends that have been sooooo good to us throughout this whole process.

just an added note...is it a coincidence that lindsey lohan broke free from her rehab facility on the SAME day that i broke free from house arrest?  hmmmmm.......

35 weeks: Baby weighs as much as a honeydew melon
Your baby, now as hefty as a honeydew melon at 5 1/4 pounds, doesn't have much room to maneuver in your belly. (Length: more than 18 inches, head
to heel.)
