update on the babes....

each and every single day, these babies of ours are a changing! while i find myself caught up in their routine of feeding, playtime, and pooping, i often forget to realize the mundane yet AMAZING changes minnie and tully are showing on a daily basis.  isn't it crazy how you can get swamped with the effects of everyday life and you miss what is right in front of you???

these babies are coming into their own.  minnie is minnie.  tully is tully.  even though they are twins, my heavenly day, they are different!

as for minnie...

• girlfriend is rolling over the minute her belly hits the floor
• she reaches for daddy as of this morning...while it broke my heart it was an awesome thing to see! she literally lunged out for those arms of his to hold her!
• she is gnawing on anything and everything.  from sophie the giraffe to her chewy ring thing, this girl is going to town with her gums.
• she loves her exersaucer. the mirror is her favorite part....oh heavens.
• minnie loves her bumbo. however, she sits sideways in it. oh well.....
• she adores lambs, bunnies, and anything soft and sweet.
• fantabulous sleeper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she goes down at night.  she sleeps through each and every nap.  wonderful.
• minnie is a genius to ben and i; however, minnie girl might not be the sharpest tool in the shed.  she looks at things that she sees day after day as if she has never seen them before.  she looks surprised at anything and everything!  she is happy to see the world!
• minnie loves tully.  she wants to have whatever he has.  she wants to be where he is.  she is definitely a little "needy" of his love and affection.  sure wish he'd give it to her!

as for tully...

• tully loves lying on his back.  he is sleeping on his back.  he is playing on his back.  he rolled over from tummy to back at 2 months!  however, he seems to like just hanging out on his back these days!
• tully is a tv man.  as long as mickey mouse's clubhouse or baby einstein is within sight, he doesn't let out a peep!  seriously, if i kept the tv on in between nursing and naptimes, this boy would be quiet for 2 hours at a time!  what a man!
• he loves to kick.  maybe he will actually be the kicker UT football's team has needed for years!!?? he kicked minnie in the head while i was feeding them the other day...and my first thought was about the joy i would have watching him at neyland stadium and not poor minnie's head!  oops...bad mommy
• tully loves getting naked for bath time.  he starts drooling all over the place and kicking (again) when he's getting de-robed for that bath!
• tully loves his sophie giraffe (however his is known as tonya)
• tully's personality is super-relaxed.  he likes to sit, hang out, and just be.  he is one cool cat, i guess.  he is like zach morris already...minus the converse high tops and huge cell phone.  
• tully, though he is not the best sleeper, he is the best snuggler or "burrower" as ben says!
• tully loves to play "boo".  he thinks it is a hysterical game.  though it looses its luster for mommy after a few times, i keep playing it over and over with him b/c his laughter is infectious

while all of these things might seem like a boring laundry list of every day baby to-do's, they are wonderful facts about the parsley babies.  they amaze us.  they make us laugh.  they make us look like crazy people as we bend over backwards for them morning, noon, and night.  we wouldn't have it any other way though....because they are ours.
