oh, the differences....

minnie and tully are twins.  there is no doubt.  however, let me tell you that these two babes
are tee-totally different in each and every way.  i swear, i would love to say that they are exactly alike...do everything simultaneously...are spitting images of one another....etc. that would make the aspect of having twins so "cute".  i would be a lying momma, though, if i even attempted to make that claim about our little ones!

though tully is the baby brother by a minute, his actions and demeanor prove he is EVERY bit the big brother.  he dances to the beat of his own drum.  he is into, well, himself....he never gives little minnie a second glance!  he is content to just hang out and "be".  needy is one thing that tully is NOT.  he reclines in his bouncy like a man with a remote watching sunday night football and could be left there until morning.

while minnie is the older twin, she is every bit our baby.  she does not have a "dominant" personality at all.  she just wants to be loved.  tully won't give her any but as long as minnie is getting love from something (a mommy, a sophie the giraffe, a something), she is golden.  she is constantly amused by anything and everything and is extremely easily distracted.

these two babies and their differences create a lengthy list. i would not know where to begin!  let's pretend these little ones are about to "face off".  let's go over each contestant's major points of interest...

• tully nurses like he is drinking a fine wine while minnie goes at it like a collegiate freshman at his first frat party (point for minnie)
• tully likes mommy in the morning while minnie goes ga-ga for da-da (point for tully)
• minnie loves her bumbo and sits sideways in it while tully sits in his like a toad on a lily pad (point for minnie for originality)
• minnie has been sleeping like a log for over a month because she found that belly while tully has just started (point for minnie, again....her mother needed that sleep)
• tully can be left for a good hour in his bouncy in front of anything from sports center to baby einstein while minnie would rather be walked around the house (big point for tully)
• minnie has horrendous diaper blow outs.  girlfriend has ruined at least 6-7 outfits and tully hasn't ruined a one!  a-w-f-u-l.  tully does precious little dirties that normally stay put in diaper as they should (point for tully again)

so.....their stats above prove they are equal when going head to head.  they are oh-so different...and we will happily accept those differences and love them just the same!  both are winners to us:)
