a couple of weeks ago, we were out and about strolling, swinging, and doing anything else outdoors that starts with an "s" when the days were hitting above 60 degrees and good ole mr. sunshine was out and about to greet us!
however, last week the temp dropped and so did the spirits within our little ones. they looked up at me day in and out in sadness like "mommy, why aren't you taking us back to that land of pretty sunshine and fresh air"? believe me, i have been trapped inside the walls of our humble abode as well this winter and have been itching to get right back outside with those precious twins of mine. 7 am till' 7 pm is a long day without leaving!
i have invented reasons to pop the babies in the car just to get them "out". the dry cleaners, the bank, and anything else with a drive through has seen the parsley crew! i am in luck that they LOVE their car seats and babble endlessly or stare outside at everything in awe throughout the entirety of a car ride.
however....car rides just aren't the same when it is 'blah' outside. i miss the huge smiles. i miss the redness in their little cheeks. i miss the little sweat smell that they already produce after their bout with the outdoors. when, oh when, will the happy spring return?
for now, minnie & tully are enjoying catching some rays through the glass...
