a typical day....sort of...

i get asked all of the time, "what do you do all day?"  i never know exactly how to properly respond.

well, let me at least recap yesterday for you.  now...believe me...i know EVERY mommy is kept on her toes throughout the day.  no matter if you have one baby, two babies, etc....life is ever-so unpredictable.  march 24th was definitely one of those....

6:15   babies decide to wake up 30 minutes early.  let the mobile-time begin!

6:45   babies want boobie.  up, changed, feeding #1 begins

7ish   baby girl falls off feeding pillow and gets wedged between mommy's bum and boppy

7:15   feedings ends.  minnie spits up for 1st time in forever.

7:15-7:30  mommy pumps off excess

7:30   cereal feeding (minnie does great, tully doesn't)

7:30-8:30  awake time (exersaucers, mommy floor time, etc)

8:30  while changing tully on chair, he pees on minnie.  yes.....pee pees on her.  a fountain of tee-tee went up and landed perfectly all over her head and face.  she was blinking away trying to get the "water" out of her eyes.

8:45  tully goes down for nap.  mommy bathes minnie.  she rides her inflatable duck bath thing like it's a bronco.  she's so excited thinking she gets a morning ride in the tub.  i'm mad about her brother going #1 on her head.

9-10:15 nap for babies

10:15  feeding #2

10:30-11  play time on mat/tummy time/ sit up time/etc.  only a couple of crashes.  good.

11-11:45   errand time / babies love car ride / most successful 45 minutos of the day!

11:45-12:15  play time resumes

12:15  feeding #3 (some screaming and yelling due to tiredness)

12:30-almost 1 baby einstein time...wind down for nap

1-3  nap (wonderful nap day)

3-3:15   mobile time in minnie's crib (aka: party time in da crib....tully can enjoy pink and purple mobile and crib mirror for now)

3:15   change diaper and clothes

3:15   feeding #4

3:30  cereal time (mommy got a fabulous tip to put vanilla in cereal...tully loves it.  hopefully the alcohol content in the extract doesn't souse baby.  totally kidding)

3:45-5:30   window time, ball popper play, table time, mommy prepares dinner items, starts cooking, etc

5:30   feeding #5 (babies eat and fall asleep on the boobie....the sweetest little 15 minutes of the day...they feel asleep holding hands)

6:00 dinner for mommy and daddy (babies play in highchair while we eat...)

6:30-7  wind down/play with daddy/mommy makes lots of racket cleaning kitchen/tully sucks on foot/minnie crawls backward/etc

7:00  feeding #6

7:30  bye bye babies....too-da-loo....go to sleep....tully rolls around like an insect then falls fast asleep

7:45  minnie talks in tongues and finally goes to sleep

so.....that's that.  i know.  you have read through thinking you either do exactly this or you are thinking why on god's green earth do i do something that i do.  this is our schedule.  it works for us.  however, each and every day is different because minnie and tully like to jazz life up a bit.  don't all children like to push the envelope a bit!!??

oh...AND in case you are wondering why i feed these little ones 6 times each day....feeding multiples makes your milk supply an interesting "beast" to say the least. when i dropped to 5, my supply crashed.  so sad.  therefore, i had to pump extra for a bit AND add a nursing time back into our day.  for now, it works.  ask me next week and i might have changed my mind:)

for the pair of parsleys, our days are going like clockwork.  while it might not look that way, this schedule if moving on like a well-oiled machine.  maybe that's the kiss of death to say that.....oooops
