i used to run a couple of miles a few times a week....now i run into Kroger to fetch diapers and wipes.
i used to fix semi-elaborate dinners for sweet ben and would set the table perfectly...now we stand on opposite sides of the counter eating with plastic utensils often out of styrofoam containers.
i used to sleep until 7 o'clock on saturday mornings and would have "me" time until ben got up an hour or so later...now i am up at 6:30 with 2 friends ready to pounce me for their breakfast.
i used to love to eat soup 12 months out of the year...now i hardly ever eat it because it's too risky to slosh over minnie or tully as i hold them to eat.
i used to slide on into my skinny jeans daily and toss on a cute, stylish top...now i sport black yoga pants that have literally become my "uniform" with either my northface jacket or fleece.
i used to be so abreast of the hollywood news via UsWeekly, People, etc...now i am up-to-date on the latest baby milestones, breast feeding tips, and baby gadget review.
i used to sing to the latest hits on the radio while driving about running errands...now i dance and sing to mickey mouse clubhouse to make my babes laugh ("meeska, mooska, mickey mouse....let's do the hotdog dance").
i used to brush my teeth 3-4 times a day...now i try to make sure they are brushed by 3-4 in the afternoon before my sweet working hubby gets home.
i used to love a big glass of milk in the morning or with a plate of fresh choc. chip cookies...now "milk" has a completely different meaning and doesn't appeal to me as a yummy treat.
i used to have a house that was spotless and in order...now i have a house that has 2 of everything in pink and blue from the front door to the back.
i used to think people that i saw eating in their car looked gross...now i try to eat in the car so that my meal isn't interrupted.
i used to want a boob job...now i hate my over the shoulder boulder holder AND the boobs that go along with it.
i used to think that having twins "looked cute"...now i know it is crazy, fun, amazing, chaotic, stressful, fantastic, gut-wrenching, hard, awesome, and perfectly unperfect.....and i like how i live now so much better than how i used to.
Love this post!
