28 weeks down...hopefully 8 to go!

the babies celebrated their 28-week b'day yesterday at the doctor's office. their weekly
appointments have started; therefore, we know we are in the home stretch of our pregnancy.
while i am obviously thrilled to have everything going well as of now, i am also getting sad to think about these little ones lives OUTSIDE of my belly. though they keep me awake in the middle of the night with their roller coaster of kicks, rolls, and flicks....i will miss that when those feelings are no longer there! i like being a wee-bit selfish and having all of them to myself.

their continuous movements and active way of life were very apparent during yesterday's ultrasound as well. while i didn't come close to passing out this time AND while i didn't have to take a 3-hour long blood test this week, we did have an eventful appointment and found out some interesting facts about our babies...

our little girl's info
~current weight is approximately 2 pounds 8 ounces (she gained 5 ounces in a week)
~current size is measuring exactly one week ahead of schedule
~heart rate is 128 bpm
~she is currently breech (same as last week)

our little boy's info
~current weight is approximately 2 pounds 12 ounces (he gained 4 ounces in a week)
~current size is measuring exactly one week ahead of schedule (just like his sis!)
~heart rate is 140 bpm
~he is kind of closed up like a clam with his head down (he's very flexible...NOT like mommy)

the babies are looking great and if things keep going in this manner, my doctor is feeling great about our estimated september delivery. our fingers are crossed. our prayers for these reports continue. we are 56 days away from meeting our babies!!!!

  4. Maggie I am so happy everything is looking great with the babies! Remember to take it slow these last few weeks. Rest as much as you can and try to be off your feet. We want those babies in your tummy for as long as possible. If you are up in my neck of the woods please give me a call. I would love for you to meet the girls and get a peek at life with twins at 3 months. :)
