pickles & pickler...

when you are pregnant, you supposedly have lots of cravings. i, however, have not experienced anything out of the ordinary. i still like cereal. i still like sour gummy worms. i still like ice cream and pickles.....but NOT together as some might suggest.

that being said, celebrity gossip might still remain as the top "craving" of mine (outside of the items listed above, of course)! and today's events prove just that....

our blog should be all about the twins....their doctor updates, their ultrasounds, etc. but if any of you preggo mommies are like me, sometimes escaping from reality is just what the doctor ordered!

i was sitting outside on the balcony this morning just enjoying being at the beach. around 9 am, i heard a high-pitched country voice yell "haaaaaay, i'm engaaaaaaaaged!" i turned around & realized that my rosemary neighbor had yelled down from her balcony to a random bike rider to announce her big news. it startled the biker (it would have clearly made me crash if i had been the one on wheels), but he managed to say "well, uh, congrats. when are you getting married?" she responded "i don't knoooooooow. it just happened last niiiiiight."

she then looked back at her fiance in the house and said "i'm just so exciiiiiiiiited"....and off she went.

i immediately thought....hmmmmm, looks a heck of a lot like kellie pickler and sounds just like her. i kept thinking about it. i mentioned it to ben who pretty much blew me off and said no way. that was that.

well...that brings me to 4 pm this afternoon. ben and i were in the den and he all of a sudden said "maggie...kellie pickler is our neighbor" followed by a laugh. i turned and dangit if it wasn't her! i scurried (well, as fast as a preggo lady can "scurry") out onto the balcony pretending to be on the computer. it was a balcony face-off, people! once she dropped her phone, picked it up and went back inside, i decided to investigate.

i pulled up her website and immediately went to her tweets. guess what....june 14th entailed an off to rosemary posting. her june 15th post said "thank you jesus". and now we know why!!!!

again, to some this is a long story of nothing. to those who truly know me, they will appreciate how much this happy moment has meant to me:)
