squiggling on down off her wedge once in between one of their night feedings, it was such a success.
even though i was in the room right next door, i slept sooooo soundly in between each feeding block knowing they were right where i had always dreamed they would be one day. i still can't believe...they are here. as a mommy, you dream of having your babies in a safe environment. you want to protect them. you want to keep them free from harm. it's amazing just thinking that even though i might be running on empty, the babies seem to be moving on along oblivious to that. my life is polar opposite of what it used to be. my biggest decision during the day is to nap, shower, or eat!
now, the success of these twins' lives so far cannot be awarded to JUST ben and me. we have been incredibly blessed with a wonderful lactation/night nurse that specializes in multiples that has given us what we have needed the past week. ben gets some sleep so that he can function during his 7am-7pm job while mommy gets solid 2-hour sleep blocks in between feedings. between her assistance, grandparents' love, sisterly advice and encouragement from friends, these babies are being raised by a heavenly, yet strong, army!
Yay! I have wanted you to post pictures of the nursery! It's beautiful Maggie. So glad you all are doing well
