just moving about...

day after day people have been asking "can you feel them yet" and i have had to repeatedly answer their question with a slightly-sad "no". now, however, i can say "yes"!

on mother's day night (sunday), ben was in the middle of praying for the babies and his hand just so happened to be on my belly. his prayer went something like this....

"please help our little boy and girl continue to grow. help keep them safe and growing away in maggie's belly just like they have been and oh my gosh it just kicked me"

we simply didn't know what to do. we just got incredibly still and thought we could trick whichever baby "plinked" daddy's palm to possibly do it once more. mommy and daddy outsmarted that baby! about 30 seconds later, another plink was felt right under ben's palm. it was one of the most amazing feelings ever. though it was so slight and though it was such a miniscule of a flick, the world stopped for us for that second.

i would like to tell you which baby it was, but i can't. what i can tell you is that BOTH babies have decided to move about in the days since then. sometimes the little pops are high like where we think our little son (wow, our "son") is. other times, i feel the little bubbles lower in my abdomen where my "daughter" has set up shop. either way, anytime i get a little nudge from inside my belly i am reminded of how awesome it is to have 2 little lives inside of me just growing away! we are just so thankful. no, in all honesty we are just so incredibly excited we don't what to do with ourselves...
