hawaii continued...just another day in paradise...

i told you already, i could have many-a-blog entries regarding my recent hawaiian vacay.  however, all it would do would make us all feel pale, cold, and a wee bit depressed.  so, i promise this entry shall be my last one.  then, aloha, i will say to my trip....

as i said before, it was simply a great getaway.  while my fam was not there, it was a good mental departure from the "double" life i lead at home with the twins.  i thought it would feel "unnatural" without having to do the typical meals, diaper changes, etc....but i slipped back into life as it was pre-twins rather easily.  i soaked up the relaxation along with the sun.  i ate lovely, island dinners in peace without sharing food with 2 sets of little, stubby fingers grabbing at my plate.  i even got in a couple of good reading sessions without babbling interruptions.  it.........was.........a......lovely......experience.

i truly believe our god made hawaii to help us breathe.  i swear you couldn't be unhappy for very long in this majestic place.  i took moments to reflect back at how quickly life passes & changes.  while i am happy to wake up to each new day as a mommy and to get through tough milestones, i am sad to witness the twins age and grow up and "not be babies".  not only are they getting older, but WE mommies are aging as well.   not sure which fact makes me tear up more:)

we are growing.  they are growing.  we are changing.  they are changing.  i hope, though, that paradise stays the same so that the parsley family can experience it together one day.....
