so thankful...

i am obviously thankful for our 2 new bundles of joy this thanksgiving.  what an amazing gift to have 2 new lives in our home to celebrate with!  last thanksgiving, we were wading into the fertility clinic waters.  heavens, we were needing some serious waders by this point last year!

my oh my....what a difference a year makes!  minnie and tully are obvious blessings that god placed in our lives this year.  at times, i still look at them and think they must be someone else's precious pair!  we are forever thankful for them and will never ever know why god is letting us be their parents while they are here on earth!  he must have written his parental assignments on some post-its and gotten them mixed up!

no matter how he got them to us, i am just sooooooooo thankful he did!  i am also very, very, very thankful for some other new additions to our lives this thanksgiving.  ben and i find ourselves incredibly thankful for some minor things that make our day-to-day lives a wee-bit easier.

1. Fisher Price Lamb Swings (even the one that's broken which annoying noise lulls baby Minnie to sleep)
2. Soothie Pacies (these things are obnoxiously big and ugly but oh we love them, indeed)
3. Medela Freestyle Handsfree Breast Pump (while i have scared some passers-by people who have walked past my car while i'm pumping away, i could care less.  while it makes a noise that sounds eerily like a cow, "maggie moo" is my name now so that sound is actually appropriate)
4. Baby Einstein Motzart DVD(tully dances away to your beat each and every day!)
5. Praise and Worship Baby DVD (while minnie doesn't care too, too much for baby einstein, she loves her jesus...amen, sister, amen)
6. Cloud B's Sleep Sheep (minnie and tully love to hear the waves crash away as they drift off to sleep; however, sound choice #4 of the whale is freaky and needs to be replaced)
7. Cloud B's Twilight Turtle and Twilight Ladybug (tully talked to the stars that were emitted out of turtle's shell for 30 minutes last night until he talked himself to sleep...and then slept 9 hours!)
8. Daygowns (tully loves his daily dresses just as much as minnie.  wearing gowns gives him "freedom" from his waist down!  mommy loves how easy it is to change diapers minus 8,000 snaps....such a gift for mommies with multiples)
9. Purell (thank you for wiping away all of our germs so that i can breathe when 100 different hands touch my babies)
10. Nap Nannies (praise lord baby jesus wrapped in a golden blanket for the genius who invented these.  my sole item i am thankful for this season...i wonder if the pilgrims and indians had babies that needed elevation to relieve gas pressure from all of the fish, nuts, and berries they ate years ago....if so, nap nannies would have been a must then, too!)
